Surah Al-Anbya — Ayah 82 (21:82)

English translation (Saheeh International)

And of the devils [i.e., jinn] were those who dived for him and did work other than that. And We were of them a guardian.¹

1. - Preventing any disobedience or deviation by them from Solomon's instructions and protecting him from being harmed by them.

Brief commentary

I subjugated those Shayāṭīn who would dive into the oceans for him and find pearls etc. among doing other things like construction. I supervised their numbers and work well; nothing escaped My observation.
