Surah Al-Balad — Ayah 11 (90:11)

English translation (Saheeh International)

But he has not broken through the difficult pass.¹

1. - i.e., the steep incline or obstacle. In other words, he has not spent in the cause of Allāh but only boasts of spending in front of others.

Brief commentary

He will be required to cross the valley that separates him from Paradise, which he will cross.
