Surah Al-Baqarah — Ayah 2 (2:2)

English translation (Saheeh International)

This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allāh¹ -

1. - Literally, "those who have taqwā," i.e., who have piety, righteousness, fear and love of Allāh, and who take great care to avoid His displeasure.

Brief commentary

This is the Qur’ān, in which there is nothing of any doubt, neither in terms of its origin, nor in terms of its meaning. It is the word of Allah, guiding those who are mindful of Allah to the way that leads to Him.
