Surah Al-Fil — Ayah 5 (105:5)

English translation (Saheeh International)

And He made them like eaten straw.¹

1. - i.e., husks which have been chewed by cattle. This event took place in the year of the Prophet's birth.

Brief commentary

So Allah made them like the leaves of crops that have been eaten and trampled upon by livestock.
