Surah Al-Furqan — Ayah 30 (25:30)

English translation (Saheeh International)

And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur’ān as [a thing] abandoned."¹

1. - i.e., avoiding it, not listening to or understanding it, not living by it, or preferring something else to it.

Brief commentary

The Messenger will say on that day complaining about the condition of his people: O my Lord! My people, to whom You sent me, left this Qur’ān and ignored it.
