Surah Al-Hajj — Ayah 51 (22:51)

English translation (Saheeh International)

But the ones who strove against Our verses, [seeking] to cause failure¹ - those are the companions of Hellfire.

1. - i.e., trying to undermine their credibility and thereby defeat the Prophet (ﷺ).

Brief commentary

Those who strive to deny our verses, believing they will be able to render Allah powerless and escape Him so that He cannot punish them, those are the people of the fire of hell, staying constantly in it just as companions stay with one another.
