Surah Al-Isra — Ayah 80 (17:80)

English translation (Saheeh International)

And say, "My Lord, cause me to enter a sound entrance¹ and to exit a sound exit² and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority."

1. Into Madīnah at the time of emigration, or into the grave.
2. From Makkah, or from the grave at the time of resurrection.

Brief commentary

And say, O Messenger: O my Lord, make all my entrances and exits in Your obedience and for Your pleasure. And give me from Yourself a clear proof through which You help me against my enemy.
