Surah Al-Jinn — Ayah 18 (72:18)

English translation (Saheeh International)

And [He revealed] that the masjids¹ are for Allāh, so do not invoke² with Allāh anyone.

1. The term "masjid" here includes every place of worship or the earth in general.
2. Or "worship."

Brief commentary

And that the mosques belong to Him (may He be glorified) and not to anyone else. So do not call on anyone together with Allah and become like the Jews and the Christians in their synagogues and churches.
