Surah Al-Jinn — Ayah 4 (72:4)

English translation (Saheeh International)

And that our foolish one [i.e., Iblees]¹ has been saying about Allāh an excessive transgression.

1. - A plural form may also be understood, i.e., "the foolish ones among us."

Brief commentary

And that Iblis made an errant statement about Allah by attributing a wife and child to Him, may He be glorified.
