Surah Al-Ma'idah — Ayah 102 (5:102)

English translation (Saheeh International)

A people asked such [questions] before you; then they became thereby disbelievers.¹

1. - By their unwillingness to carry out what was commanded of them.

Brief commentary

A nation before you had asked about things not initially revealed to them. When they were then commanded to do them, they did not carry out the order; and became disbelievers as a result.
