Surah Al-Mu'minun — Ayah 32 (23:32)

English translation (Saheeh International)

And We sent among them a messenger¹ from themselves, [saying], "Worship Allāh; you have no deity other than Him; then will you not fear Him?"

1. - Prophet Hūd, who was sent to the tribe of ʿAad.

Brief commentary

I sent to them a messenger from amongst them: Hud, who would call them towards Allah. He said to them, “O my people! Worship Allah only; you do not have any true deity except Him, may He be glorified. Will you not be mindful of Allah by fulfilling His commands and refraining from His prohibitions?”
