Surah Al-Mu'minun — Ayah 41 (23:41)

English translation (Saheeh International)

So the shriek¹ seized them in truth,² and We made them as [plant] stubble. Then away with the wrongdoing people.

Brief commentary

So a severe scream, accompanied by a severe wind, took them by surprise, due to their deserving the punishment owing to their stubbornness. I destroyed them, leaving them like the froth of the flood. Woe be to the transgressing nation!
