Surah Al-Qadr — Ayah 4 (97:4)

English translation (Saheeh International)

The angels and the Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.¹

1. - Bringing the exact measures apportioned for everything by Allāh in the course of the coming year.

Brief commentary

The angels and Gabriel (peace be upon him) descend during it with the permission of their Lord (may He be glorified), bringing every matter Allah has decreed to happen that year, whether it be sustenance, deaths, births or anything else He has decreed.
