Surah Al-Qasas — Ayah 40 (28:40)

English translation (Saheeh International)

So We took him and his soldiers and threw them into the sea.¹ So see how was the end of the wrongdoers.

1. - Allāh (subḥānahu wa taʿālā) caused them to leave all their worldly wealth behind and enter the sea in pursuit of the Children of Israel. See 26:52-66.

Brief commentary

So I seized him and his armies, and threw them into the sea, destroying them by drowning them all. O Messenger! Ponder over what the outcome and ending of the oppressors was: it was destruction.
