Surah An-Naba — Ayah 36 (78:36)

English translation (Saheeh International)

[As] reward from your Lord, [a generous] gift [made due by] account,¹

1. - i.e., as a result of both their own righteous deeds and the limitless generosity of Allāh (subḥānahu wa taʿālā) . Another meaning is "a gift calculated [to be adequate]."

Brief commentary

All that will be from what Allah will give to them in graciousness and benevolence, and it will be sufficient for them.
