Surah Ar-Rahman — Ayah 35 (55:35)
يُرۡسَلُ عَلَيۡكُمَا شُوَاظٞ مِّن نَّارٖ وَنُحَاسٞ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ ٣٥
English translation (Saheeh International)
There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke,1 and you will not defend yourselves.
- - Another possible meaning is liquefied brass or copper.
Brief commentary
A flame of smokeless fire will be sent on you, O men and jinn, and smoke without a flame, and you will not be able to protect yourselves.
