Surah At-Takathur — Ayah 5 (102:5)

English translation (Saheeh International)

No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty...¹

1. - The conclusion of this verse is estimated to be "...you would not have been distracted from preparing for the Hereafter."

Brief commentary

Truly, if you were to know with certainty that you are to be resurrected to Allah, and that He will requite you for your actions, you would not become preoccupied with boasting with one another over wealth and offspring.
