Surah At-Tur — Ayah 32 (52:32)

English translation (Saheeh International)

Or do their minds¹ command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people?

1. - In this expression is also a subtle allusion to the leaders of the Quraysh, who considered themselves to be great minds.

Brief commentary

Or do their minds tell them to say: “He is a soothsayer and insane?” So they combine what cannot gather in one person, but rather they are a people who trespass the bounds, hence they do not return to any sacred law or intellect.
