Surah Saba — Ayah 20 (34:20)

English translation (Saheeh International)

And Iblees had already confirmed through them¹ his assumption,² so they followed him, except for a party of believers.

1. i.e., the people of Saba’ or mankind in general.
2. That mankind could readily be misled by him.

Brief commentary

And Iblis confirmed through them what he assumed i.e., that he is able to lead them astray and misguide them from the truth, so they followed him in disbelief and misguidance except a group of the believers, as they ruined his hope by not following him.
