English translation (Saheeh International)

Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’ān¹ that you might understand.

1. - i.e., revealed in the Arabic language.

Brief commentary

I have revealed the Qur’ān in the language of the Arabs, so that you, O Arabs, can understand its meanings.
