Surah Yusuf — Ayah 74 (12:74)
قَالُواْ فَمَا جَزَٰٓؤُهُۥٓ إِن كُنتُمۡ كَٰذِبِينَ ٧٤
English translation (Saheeh International)
They [the accusers] said, "Then what would be its recompense1 if you should be liars?"
- - The punishment for theft.
Brief commentary
The caller and his companions asked what the punishment for theft among them was, in case they should be proved to be liars in their claim that they were innocent of the theft.
