Every community on Ummah is its own place, with its own people. Deen-up — the home community, and the whole app — is free to join.
Private circles
Anyone can start a private community in one tap and invite friends with a code. Private means private: a community you were not invited to does not appear in anyone else’s list, and its posts are readable only by its members. That is enforced by the database, not by hiding a button.
Public communities
A public community shows up for everyone, so it is not something you switch on yourself — you apply, and a person reads the application. Tell us what the community is for, who it is for, and how to reach you. If it is a good fit it goes live with you as its owner.
What happens inside one
A feed you can post to, comment on and read back through. Communities sit alongside the rest of the app rather than replacing it, so what you are memorising, studying and writing stays yours — you choose what to share.
