Write it down, or you will lose it.
Everyone has had the experience of an ayah landing hard and being gone by evening. Reflections is the place it goes instead — attached to the ayah, findable years later, and connected to everything else you have written.
A verse you have written about is a verse you have understood.
How it works
Write where you read
A reflection opens from the ayah itself, and the ayah comes with it — Arabic, translation and reference, as a real block in the page.
Connect the thoughts
Tag a reflection and it finds every other one on the same theme. Over a year that becomes a map of what you have been given.
Come back to it
Reflections surface again beside the ayah that prompted them, so a thought from March is there when you read the page in October.
Attached to the text, not floating beside it
A reflection is written against a specific ayah or range of ayat, and it stays there. Open Surah Al-Kahf a year from now and what you wrote about ayah 45 is on the page with it. That is what a notes app cannot do, and it is most of the value.
You can reference other things as you write — another ayah, a hadith, an earlier reflection — and those references work in both directions. The ayah you cited knows it was cited.
From reflection to action
Tadabbur that stays on the page is only half of it. A line in a reflection can be turned into a task with a date, so the thing an ayah asked of you shows up in your week rather than in a notebook.
Reflections also carry key takeaways: a single sentence you lift out of a long piece of writing, which is then filed in the workspace above it. Months later that is what you actually reread.
A real editor
Headings, lists, colour, images, goals, ayah blocks that pull in the Arabic and the translation. It works the same on the phone and on the desktop, and what you write on one is what you read on the other.
Questions
- Are my reflections private?
- Yes. They are yours, visible only to your account.
- Can I write about several ayat at once?
- Yes — a reflection can be attached to a range, and the block shows all of them together.
